Default Finally, a guitar for the great outdoors

The Martin Guitar Company recently released a travel sized guitar that features full RealTree HD camo on the front, sides, and back and even includes a matching camo case. I got to play it myself at the Musical Instrument Trade Show that I attended in July. The sound was incredible, the quality was terrific and the price reasonable.

It's great to see a company like Martin show an appreciation for those of us that wanted to bring a guitar into hunting camp. They're supposed to start shipping in October. I already have one on order!

Attached is a picture I took while at the show.

A better question would be "Does it attract deer ?" If it did I'd probably learn to play one .

The guitar lists for about $650. I have already seen online Martin dealers taking orders under $500. From what I saw and heard, it really looked worth the money and I look forward to buying one!

I'm a musician/bowhunter and have tried almost every gadget available. Maybe I should get one of these (my son works for a music company) and sit under a tree just at daylight, softly strumming "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer". When the deer come close to see where the music is coming from ... jackpot!! You never know. Even if it doesn't work, 6 or 7 hundred BUCKS for a Martin isn't a lot of DOE !
