I'm trying to decide which trail cam to buy, I'm looking for a mid-range 250-$350 digital camera. I read a lot on here about the cuddlebuck and leaf river, are there any others. I work with a research unit here at school and they usea $700 modelbut have had some issues with the company and the waterproofness. I feel the proof is in the pictures, do you guys mind posting some pics with the camera used? I've been through a lot of the past posts, and I've got a few brandsfigured out by the date/time stamp. Thanks. Any info. would be appreciated too.
Well Basswacker, there are several pretty decent units out there in your price range, I have the Cuddeback and feel it is a great set-up for the money, They are offering anew unit this year with a 3.0 MP camera, I'm really impressed with the battery life from mine and the quality is plenty good for a game camera unless you are wanting to make the front cover of Outdoor Life magazine. Here is one I just got.

Thanks for the pic and info. guys. Looks like the Cuddlebuck may be the way to go, I was almost leaning towards the Leaf River? Is the security on the Cuddlebuck pretty good? Thanks Again.
Well since strut already showed you a daylight one heres a couple at night. The Cuddeback is the only digital I've had and I love it triggers fast, flash is great makign for awesoem night pictures, only downside with it is that sometimes the flash is so strong it washes out the pictures if the animals are to close.Had a little trouble before with the software but they were great about it sent me a new one within 3 days, in my opinion its worth it you wont be let down.

You may have just sold me on it as well. I have been kickin' around the idea of buying one myself now for a few months and I have to admit that those pictures speak for themselves.
Yeah it has what they call a theft lock system, You can program it to where it stores your name and phone number in its electronics and no one can change it without your password or the technicians at the factory. You can also program it with your password to where no one can operate it at all with out the password. I know if it gets stolen that your name is still there on every picture and in the units memory, if they send it in to unlock or change the passwordthe manufactuer will call you to see if you have had your camera stolen, and it comes with a cable and is lockable. You will not go wrong buying the Cuddeback.
