Default Plz, delete this!

Im getting ready to go Varminting at the end of the summer, but still need to get a decent rifle, whats a good varmint round?

The .223 is a good all around caliber and comes in a wide variety of grain sizes and bullet options. You might consider the .220 swift or the .243 also. Make sure you have good optics too.

22-250 is probably the best varmit round out there. At least good enough to argue over being the absolute best.

That said, nobody is going to be as GOOD a shot with a calibur they don't shoot as they will be with a calibur the shoot as much as they want to.

A 223 is almost as good a long range varmit round as the 250 and some will argue just as good but I bet no one will agure that the 223 is a whole heck of a lot cheaper to run down to what ever store is nearby and buy a box of shells to go out and shoot up at what ever you feel like.

I love the 700 BDL my buddy has in 22-250 and he hasn't shot in at least a year but I'll give you better than even money on any target you want to point at with me and my Handi Rifle in 223 that I shoot all the time against him on the first shot.
