try a moultrie digital camera. I work for a company that wholesales to dealers, we had a huge dealer show last week and saw a digital by moultrie that was fantastic. should be sold for about$150 to $175. One yearwarranty, and 24 hour turnaround. check for the 35mm we sold a bunch last week cheap.some of my dealers retailed th 35mm for about 50 bucks.

It is my opinion that you would be better off spending more money and getting a better camera. The cheaper cameras that I have used do not compare. Keep saving.

I have owned many different trail cams including several digitals. Two of these digis were $400 Cuddebacks and they pale in comparison to the Leaf River digital. In fact, the LR digis are listed for $350 but you can buy one for only $245 and that includes FREE shipping. These are the best digis I have found. From actual image quality to control and set-up ease thay are the best I have found. Check out my buddy Mikes website for the best price.

I can tell you that typically with digital game cameras, you get what you pay for. I havn't got a chance to try the Leaf River digital. I just dropped the extra cash and went with a TrailMac Digital. It should be here tommorrow and I can't wait to set it up. I ordered a battery extender system for it which allows me to use a bunch of battery combinations, heck I can even run the whole unit off a car battery. I have heard nothing but great news about the Leaf Rivers so it is probablly your best bet.

Cornfed,
Those are some awsome pics buddy. I am glad that you finally got a good unit, I wish that I had taken your advice about the digital Stealth cam. Also, that buck in the pic looks like a very young deer. How old is that deer? It looks to young to be a year old deer.

The pictures that I have from the Leaf River are dissapointing when compared to units that have an actual digital camera. It also has a relatively slow power up time. There are better digital scouting cameras out there.

I'd like to test one of those Trail Mac cameras sometime. It would be interesting to see how they stack up against the others.
