bark bit step installer

Has anyone used this ?
I've been using a drill bit then putting the step in, if this works as advertised it could save some time.

If you would be putting up stands before the season, I'd think it'd work great. But if you are going to hunt that day, it would seem to me the you would make some noticable noise, plus one more thing to carry.

I hang my stand's in July.

I used one last year.
In softer trees it worked fine .
In a oak tree I burned out my 18 volt De Walt drill.( 2 weeks old , I returned it)


So in hard trees I don't recomend it
