Default Cabela's CLR800 Laser Range Finder

Im looking for a range finder for under 300.00. I dont want a leica Because for around here I dont need long distances.

One thing this one dont have is "scan mode" what is that? I also been looking at Bushnell and Nikon but the Bushnell has no rain mode under 300.00. Nikon dont say if it has it or not.

Has anyone tried out or purchased this rangefinder? How did it work?

Thanks,
Cory
