Default Shed Hunting Antler Dog picked out

Hi Everyone
If you don't know by my name etc. We work with shed antlers everyday. Started as a hobby and now is my full time business. Anyway we have loved to shed hunt and actually I take my 3 little ones to the woods every year. Well now we are going to have some help. We have picked out our new Antler Dog from Roger Sigler. He is a Liver colored German Short Hair. He trains them professionally I first found out about them from My brother in law Scott Huschle who hosts Down River Outdoors radio show here. Roger and his Wife Sharon are great people. My pup is 12 weeks old and we will pick him up in approx 4 weeks. I am very excited and he will actually spend his days at the shop. Who knows maybe I can get him to help select my antlers for chandeliers etc. We are now offering his DVD as well as Joe Sheads DVD on shed hunting check them out here

Does anyone out there shed hunt with their dog?
If anyone has any good Shed Pics please post.

Thanks

I'd love to have a good shed dog, but there's no way I'm dropping 1200 for a pup, way too high for my blood

X2 I am someday going to try to train my own dog to assist me. Time will tell how it turns out. I won't be getting a pup until my old dog passes away though. Until then I'll just have to keep walking.

William there is no need to, I adopted my shed pup on Feb. 1st. from a rescue for $150.00 and then dontated another $20.00 to help them out. Below is a link on how I trained Mojo and pics.

And here is a link to a thread about all of his shed hunts up until now.
As you will see you can adopt a pup from a rescue or pound and have a dog that will hunt as good as any $1,200.00 top of the line, trained hunting dog. And at the same time give a pup a good home. Pike
