Hello Everyone,
I hope you have all enjoyed this year's hunting season!
The reason I am writing is that I recently received an email from a man
that, due to some personal circumstances, cannot keep his setter Charlie.
I told him I would try to help him in finding a new home for the dog. Please note,
we are not the breeders or the owners of this dog. If you
are interested in adding another setter to the your household, please
email me. Or, if you have friends that may be interested in acquiring a field setter,
please forward this information to them.
Briefly, Charlie is a black and white, one year old "Llewellin," not FDSB
reg. but is under IPDBA, bred by Steven Reed. I'm not sure who his
parents are yet, but I will find out. Charlie's up to date on shots,
owner says no health problems. He is neutered. He knows his basic
commands- no field or obedience training. His owner is asking five
hundred for him and is located in Portland, Oregon.
His owner describes him as "energetic, super-friendly with kids and
strangers. Sometimes goes into arguments with other dogs (when on lease).
Never bites. Very loving and gentle dog." He also goes on to say that
"just like any setter, he wants to run and hunt birds. He doesn't always
handle lease very well - too much energy. No particular bad habits.
Sometimes he barks when left alone. Somewhat afraid of being in the
moving vehicle." Not too much experience behind this dog, but he's still young.I have a little more info available, including the owner's contact and a
photo. Again, if you think someone might be interested in taking Charlie
on, please spread the word! We appreciate your help a lot.
Thank you very much for your time.
Best regards,
Chelsea Rock
