You say Drahthaar. Is this a VDD dog? Have you tested it?

If so, you might want to try the VDD Group North America. There are always people looking for proven dogs there.

I never had him tested although im sure he would do great.
He has retrieved 6 downed deer by blood tracking and although I have never hunted quail with him I have shot countless ducks, geese, pheasent and chuckar over him....Thanks for the info..
