Default GSP Training

I will be inheriting 2 GSP's, 1 female 6 years and 1 male 2 years from a Gentleman in Canada. I don't think they have ever hunted, but regularly point to anything they can, especially squirrels! Is it too late to train for Upland Game? Also, any training materials anyone can recommend will be very appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Default RE: GSP Training

I think the old phrase "you cannot teach old dogs new tricks is not true" You might consider a pro gundog trainer if you are not experienced in this field. While it may be a little expensive, believe me a good trainer will let you know the potential of your new gsp. I am not a pro trainer, but i do have some experience training dogs. I can help you locate a trainer or possibly help you myself if needed.
