Default Wounded Feral Hog Jumps Fence

I was astounded. I had heard they could do this and when I have seen video of hogs getting out of traps, they climbed more than jump, but this hog jumped and jumped well...

I've watched them do the same going over electrified fences put up to keep them out of ripe grain fields.

My lease has some old forest with 2 1/2-3 foot thick fallen timber, sailing over the top doesn't even slow them down much. The smaller ones find a way around or under.

One thing that amazed me with younger hogs was when panicked they'd run right through a barbed wire fence. The sound kind of reminded me of Banjo music.

Yeah, I have seen them on video, going over 2-3 ft fencing on traps, but nothing this high.

I have seen what you are talking about with hogs blasting through barbed wire. It barely slows them down, if at all.

Yep, that hog sure did get energized.

The boar in my avatar took off at the shot, clearing a four feet deep, six feet wide gully.

I have never seen a hog, domestic or wild make a jump like that, if I would not have seen that clip I would have been very skeptical.

Same here Oldtimr and I watched a lot of hogs down in Texas over a lot of years when Dad was alive and had hunting leases down there.

Pigs that take off running are sometimes called "Jets" over here. This guy makes it a reality! Very cool.
