Where to hunt in texas? need variety ?

im looking to get a deer lease in tx for 2009 but not sure where i should get one. deer is a must. i also want other game such as hogs, exotics, sheep, ...anything else really. i dont care much for small game or birds. it doesnt need all of those but the more the better. deer is a must and other stuff is a plus. any suggestions?

Good luck. I know some other guys looking for the same thing, but if you find it, it won't be cheap. Western Hill Country of Texas (Rocksprings, Junction, Ingram) seems to be the best places for WT and exotics.

For year 2009?

I recall seeing an ad recently in the New Braunfels newspaper (the Herald-Zeitung) listing a hunting lease for $1,500 in the Junction area. I think they have White Tail and Axis deer in that area, don't know about anything else.

I have absolutely no knowledge nor any connection of any type with this lease or whomever posted the listing. I just happened to be in New Braunfels and reading the paper a few days ago.

Be carefull about these leases. I would suggest joining a Texas hunting forum and asking about someone before you hand over money.
