Default what weapon for first hog hunt

I am going to do a hog hunt soon down here in florida. The big thing I am still unsure on is what gun or weapon to use

The whole use dogs and run up and stab it does not feel like fun to me.NOT PUTTING IT DOWN JUST NOT MY THING

Thinking one of the following in the same order

reflex excursion set to 68 pounds with a 100 grain muzzy 3 blade
TC triumph muzzleloader, shot my first deer with it this past season,
Glock 21 45 cal, the place I think I am going to use said handguns were ok.
mossberg 12 ga

I think either the bow or the muzzy, something about shooting one with my bow but then again the Triumph gives me a better chance at a kill(been some time since I fired the bow) plus I shot my first deer with it.

My other thought is d 2 days of hunting 2 hogs one each weapon. I figure since I now have a carry permit I could carry the glock and if I missed with the bow pop the hog with that.

Thanks for your help, if you could recommend a outfitter down near the glades Okeechobee or such, that would be great.
I found 2 not to high, one 100% chance of shot 250 total out the door with skinning and quartering, the other anywhere from 200-400 depending on hog size

Sup man, I too feel the same way about hunting hogs with dogs, it doesn't seem fair at all , but that's just my opinion, I just posted this In another thread so maybe it will help you too

I started hunting hogs this year with a bow, I went with some friends after bow season was up and. They had 22 mags, so I bought me one put it between there eye and there ear and they will drop like a rocks, we went Friday and my buddy shot his right behind the shoulder in the good stuff on a 225pound boar and it didn't make it 50 yards, another guy shot a smaller one (150pds or so) in the same spot and it didn't make it 20 yards, I shot one that same day in-between the eye and the ear and dropped it at about 60yards, also went this morning, same scenario but at about 25 yards and stoned her lights out,

We all have marlin 22. Mags, I have a Simmons 3x9 on mine , black strap 2 mags and 200 bullets cost me 300$- can't beat that at all if you ask me!

So, so far, hogs up to 225 pounds is no match for this 22mag. I'll have videos up of them soon, right now I just have the bow hunts up, but lots of 22mag hog action to come!

Still waiting on a bigger hog 300# plus to see how the ole 22 mag fairs against it, but i think as long as you hit em in the "thinker" it won't matter how big they are

Also I was shooting that same muzzy broadhead and killed my first hog with it and my bow pretty much sucks, probably 50pd pull and 200fps lol, if you watch the videos in my sig you'll see what the others do, muzzy mx4 4blade making complete passthrus and so was the other ones

I like the bow thing, I use a bow on everything, this is the first year of my 40 + years of hunting that I used a rifle, but the pistol thing sound interesting to me.
I think I'm gonna pay to pig hunt (never paid to kill pigs before)next month and I'm thinking of using my handgun.

If you do use a bow make sure that you don't stick the pig too high, there is a spot between the vitals and the shield where there is nothing. The only think you will do is lose a pig and maybe an arrow. Stick em low and to the front, best thing is if you can get a quartering away shot and have the arrow exit between the front legs.

I have shot them with everything from a 22 long (to the head) to a 300 wby. IPistols, ve shot them with 357, 38specials, 45 acp, and 44 mags. I shoot almost all of my hogs with my longbows. My land is eat up with them, so when i am hunting them, I use my longbows. When Im out on my land working, and see one, ill take it out with what ever I have in the truck. ( I have to keep them thinned on my land or they will destroy everything).Shoot what you like.

When you actually start hunting hogs youll realize why some people hunt them with dogs. people think hogs are easy , thyre not, they can hide in almost any of brush and they can be very hard to spot, and they dont come to the feeders unless theres nothing else to eat.
