Good luck. Most people aren't willing to do that due to the liability risks. Sure, you can sign a waiver, but those rarely hold up in court.

Also, most farmers have people pay them to hunt their hogs. The idea of helping "someone out" has long been gone. To be honest, you're looking to spend $150 + to hunt hogs. Yeah, that's $150 per hog and that's a good deal. Hunting hogs is becoming a big time sport. It will probably never eclipse deer hunting, but it's getting very popular. No season, no limits and no tags.

My dad has around 30 acres, so we started to release them here. We grew tired of paying to hunt hogs. It really adds up if you do several hunts a year. I wish that weren't the case, but that's just how it is.

lol...favors are your best bet...i know a couple farmers who let me and 3 other people trap hogs on their lands in mineral wells, canton, lake o the pines and cisco, ....this is not un-common...your real problem is that farmers just dont let anyone come and shoot hogs...these guys have cattle...weather its goats, cows, sheep or watever, and they dont need their live stock in danger...so they only trust their buddies who know whats goin on to do this for them...i am luky, as i rented out my lil spot at lake o the pines for $250 a month, and can trap and hunt just an hour from me, for free..dbl bonus

oh and btw...tryin to get a hog hunt in during deer season, might oughta try and schedule a deer hunt, and put an expectation of a free hog in the mix, and see what happens.

I should have suggested looking at the public land options. I know here in Oklahoma there are a few public land spots that hold a decent number of hogs.

The only problem is you will likely spend a lot of time scouting. That's the only way I know to hunt hogs for "free". Still most of these hunts have low success rates. The crappy thing about public land hunting is you can't leave feeders or stands or they will be gone.

Judy, good to see that you made it back. You might find a farmer that will let you knock a hog in the head with a shovel... I guess you saw the Off Season is off, for who knows how long.......
