Where here in oklahoma is the best public hunting lands for hogs ?? Tired of paying to hunt them .......

I know there are a lot of hogs on Heyburn Lake public hunting. Stick to the far western end , just east of Hwy. 48.

Thanx for the info that lake isn't to far from me .... Plan on busting me some pork chops soon my freezer is getting low .... One question is that area open for rifles or Shotgun and bows only because some places i did hunt by my lake house on gibson were shotgun and bow only ??

Some of the OK WMAs are restricted to shotguns and shot or rimfire rifles outside of deer season. Ft. Sill has the same restrictrions: i've killed a lot of hogs there using a .22 magnum rifle. Limit your shots to 50 yards or less and put the bullet in the hogs ear.

I have a marlin slugmaster 512 and it's a great pork chop producer .... i bought it just for the reason you said on most wma's are shotgun and bow only ...
