I have been doing for over 50 years!

Your dog will be Potted Ham!

Having no experience with hogs or hunting with dogs. In my opinion, NO, it is not unethical to hunt hogs with dogs. Considering the size, weight and tenacity advantage of hogs over dogs. I have to say that the dogs are at the disadvantage in this case.
A dog is bigger than a quail and that's considered sporting. Besides, don't you need the upper hand if you need to be successful?
It might not be easy for a non-hunter to watch, but that's just because they don't get it. I find their hobbies of hanging out at Starbuck's, Barnes & Noble and Ikea to be horrid. But I won't judge them.
The people who think this is unethical (for hogs or bear) have never used dogs. The chase is to die for and I've never seen a bear or hog who is afraid of the dogs. They view them as an inconvenience and bay or tree to get rid of them. I've taken too many dogs to vets or patched them up myself to believe this type of hunt is "unethical." Those guys should have thanked you for the hunt!
