Went out this last weekend on the ranch and we shot 6 hogs. Found all 6 also, which is good. One guy shot his with a .325 WSM at 35 yards and it din't come out the other side, just stuck in the shield. When we were cleaning it, we found a mushroomed .22 just underneath the skin and lodged in the shield around the ribcage. Never even got in him.
Another guy shot his with a .300 WSM and it ran off with a softball sized hole in him. Tracked him down, spooked him out of some bushes and had to shoot him again 3 times with his .40 sidearm before killing it. Pretty tough animals!
