Default Hog question from an ohio boy

for 3 years now we have had tracks and have seen where this hog has been rollin in the mud and rubbing himself on trees, cause their is mud caked on trees 3 ft high. ive only got 1 trail cam photo of this hog in 3 years. i havent really focused on him but its like hit or miss, there will time periods when i dont see any sign and all of sudden bam. im pretty sure thier is only 1 maybe 2. i picked off some hair from one of the trees that he rubbed on. what do u guys think, any tips or thoughts how i can get more pics and maybe a shot on him. im guessin he is nocturnal, and im guessin he is staying in some thick stuff, i can only follow his tracks for so long.

pigs do like thick brush. i suggest throwing corn out. here in cali its $10 for 50 pounds. get yourself some good cover scent and sit and wait during sun up and sun down.

Well, if you've been seeing sign for 3 years, there's definitely more than two of them. I would use a feeder or some kind of bait to lure them to one specific area. Use the trail camera to see what shows up. Another fella suggested using a toy in another thread. Fill a pipe or a drum with corn and drill some small holes in it. Small enough to where they have to roll it around a lot to get the corn out. That'll keep them in one spot for a while.

One thing about hogs is they do migrate. They will be in your area for a spell and then vanish, just when you think they are gone they appear again. I agree that putting up a feeder is one good way of keeping them in the area especially when other food sources dry up in the winter.
