Default hog hunting in Georgia

There are three of us heading to Georgia near the Tenn. boarder to go hog hunting. I would like to know if anyone knows of a good place to start we are looking for state land to hunt or if there is some one with private land will to give access for free ora resonable fee ( not an outfitter or guide ) we are planning on going near Calhuda (not sure of the spelling ) one of the guys going is from Tenn. near the boarder. Thanks Ed

Not sure...I'm asking the same question though. My brother lives in Cumming , Foresyth county and I'm looking for an area near by with some hogs. I do not have access to private land either.

i believe where your trying to go is called cohutta. it is a WMA so there are regulations. rimfire may be all you can use right now. I killed a 275 lb boar up there earlier this month but the hogs are hard to find. Ill look up the regulations and let you know.

I'm in Cumming GA, in Forsyth County.
My Brother came down this week and he has me pumped to go Hog Hunting.
He has been Hog hunting with bow and gun along with moose, caribou and fair chase hunting.

I have only been down here in GA about a year, and need some guidence on best places, and some of the rules.

I have a friend in Dalton with 250 acres which he deer hunts on. Is this an area I can kill pigs?

Thanks
John
