Hello! Im new to the forums and just wanted to show you a hog that I took last year.

why does it matter how far behind it I was? It weighed 550 lbs. Shot at 30 yards and closing fast!

what caliber rifle did you shoot it with? It looks small, but maybe it is just because that hog is so big! That is a huge hog, congrats!

I don't care how fast a hog can run...I only need to be 2mph faster than him! 550 pounds running at you is incentive not to miss,good job!

The caliber was small, a .22! A buddy and I had been trapping hogs durring the summer in this area and had never seen a hog while running the traps durring the day. Squirrel season had came in and I thought I would go early and kills some squirrels while checking traps.My buddy and I ended up killing 3 sows that would go around 250# and another boar that would go 100#.Caught 3 more 100# boars in the traps that day.
