Now just imagine if that 800lb pet pig was wild like the 2nd boar in the vid.

Those jackasses would not have stood a chance:D

Also goes to show you dont need a CANNON to kill a pig:)

Jackass? What kind of brotherly love is that? I'm ashamed of you. (Puss):D

Sounds like someone needs a hug! Maybe it's the glue making him that way?

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that is a bad idea. Obviously, the guy shooting is an awesome shot, but I doubt every hunter would be able to do that. It just worries me that some guy will see that and now think to buy an air rifle and try to use it to hunt hogs. If you hit a hog and don't kill him it could run a long ways and be in agony.

I'm sorry, I just don't like the idea of using an air rifle to go after a hog.

That's neat. I've handled some of the newer air rifles on the market, and I have to say they've come a looong way from the air rifles that were around when I was a kid.

I would have to agree with you. I just got finished replying to a post about how you don't need much if shot placement is right, but an air rifle is pushing it. I know they're just pigs to some, but I respect them too much to do that. Unless of course they're were using that new high powered .50 Caliber hunting air rifle. There's actually a guy killing game in Africa with that one, but that's like getting hit with a slug.

OK when are people going to see thru this crap....

First off that hog looked like it was tied to the spot he was standing.

Second, was that hog killed, or stunned? That pellet only weights like 6 grains.

Third, how many hogs did they have to shoot to get that footage? My guess is a whole lot of them.

Consider those alloy pellets have not shown to be accurate for ANYONE, and have a reputation amongst airgunners for being absolute JUNK.

I have seen other Gamo footage of a hog being shot with a .177 with those piddly alloy pellets at a distance of about 5 yards. Probably tied-up. You see the hog go down, then hear it grunt a couple seconds later. Ever heard a brainshot hog grunt? Maybe that's why they don't show it so much anymore.

I have seen video of hogs shot in the jaw with a .22 air rifle that went down like they were brained, to get-up a couple seconds later and take off into the woods.

Gamo takes the prize for the most ir-responsible air rifle company there is.

There are air rifles up to the task of hog hunting under LIMITED circumstances (short range, ideal brain-shot opportunity). The Gamo is NOT one of them. Not even close.

If you go after hogs with an airgun, make it a SamYang .45, or a DAQ and take brainshots at close rangeONLY!

My dad has one of those Gamo rifles,he bought it to thin out ground rodents and grackles. It would do a wonderful job if the trigger wasnt' so horrible! I have been shooting some type of gun for near 40 years, but I can't handle our's trigger even on sandbags! So hope the one they're pissing off the hog with has better trigger or they are really being cruel!

if you take a close look at it, the second hog he shoots is still kickin a good 30 sec. maybe more after he shoots it
