Well, most everyone that goes out with us
are gun hunters. We've had a few bow hunters, but not very many successful ones. We've got bowstands setup and there's plenty of opportunity to put a sneak on, but 80% of all the archery hunters that get close enough to even get a shot, make a bad one and don't kill the hog or put a big enough hole in it to track blood.
You can use anything from howitzers to toothpicks (no dogs though), but you have to make sure you can kill what your aiming at
It's kind of funny to me when I watch these hunting shows where the guy shoots a hog with his bow and it
trots like 10 yards and then lays down. I don't know how they get them to do that, cuz lemme tell ya...wild hogs don't stop running until they hit the next county, brother! I've shot a handful hogs with my bow and even with a good heart shot, they can run forever. I'm going to start spining them!
