Another S.C. hog going to the freezer...

Shot this boar couple ofdays ago just before dark. Second one in two months on this feed site. Live weight was somewhere around 200+ lbs. More fat and better tusks on this one.

Oh, and the cows are gone now. Neighbor finally came and got them up.I was nice about it and didn't make a big issue of the broken feeder. In turn,he promised to give me any future hogs he traps.

Thanks guys. I always try to guesstimate on the low side when it comes to bragging on hog/deer kills. I don't want to get flamed or get into a debate over guessing weights on a two dimensional pic.

All I cansay is that he was very round with fat rolls (gut hook took 3 passes to get through the abdominal wall) and the meat had no stink to it.Last oneI shot at this site blessed me with 4 milk crates of sausage, chops, pork cube steak, and roasts. I expect this one to do a little better!

Less room for deer now though...

Awesome hog, where was he taken at? anyone have any idea where a couple of my buddies and me can hunt hogs on public land in so.cal?
