Default Monster Quest!

Hey all, a real great friend of mine named Tim Hicks, from Texas is going to be on a special edition of Monster Quest on the History Channel, titled Mega Hog, this coming week & I just thought I'd let y'all know about it! Tim's a Maintenence Supervisor for one of my suppliers, he nuisance traps hogs on the side & loves to hunt hogs & deer with his bow! Here's links to the show schedule & Tim's personal page where he's got all kinds of pictures & some videos of his hunting! He's just an absolutely great guy & he's been begging me to come down to Texas to hunt wild hogs with him!

Saw it..good show. My only question is...with hogs declared a nuisance in Texas and growing in population and territory, why are there so few places to hunt that don't charge you $200 and up for a weekend of culling?

They're out of control down there & Tim nuisance hunts/traps them for folks for free so that he can get hunting permission on some places.

I saw it while I was in Atlanta. Good show, but he never did find that one monster hog.. It was kind of funny too when they put the camera on that little pig, the guy releasing it didn't know exactly what way to run.

Yes I seen the show to. It was too bad the camera didn't work better. It was a good idea. I know there are some really big hogs where I hunt and even when you know they are there you very seldom see the really big ones. The biggest we shot was over 500 and we've seen bigger. The only problem is when we see them we never have a gun. The closest we came to shooting one of the really big ones was when I spotted one at the end of the pasture and thought it was a cow. When I got the spotting scope out and found out it was a hog it had disappeared.

That's why they get so big, them boogers are smart.
