Default small hog+.243= overgunned (graphic)

Hogs have been getting the best of me lately.I havebeenhunting with my bow and my .22 hornet with no luck, damn hogs either know i'm there or and are winding me. So today I felt lazy and wanted some meat, so I brought out the heavy artillery, my .243 shooting 100 gr federal sierra game kings. I sat back at 150 yds from the feeder, against a tree and low and behold they came in to feed, around 8 pm today, a sow with some small ones, took this lttle guy, he weighed about 35-40lbs.
Man that damn thing tore this little guy apart. check out the pics, thats the entrance on the first pic, the exit was actually smaller, and check out the heart.

Woo Hoo. Theres a party saturday and I am going to do whole halves on the pit
This is going to be some goooood eating.....

Yea that tends to happen. It cracks me up when guys ask "is a .270 big enough or should i use a larger calibre?" I usually shoot a .243 just because they are so accurate and have good trajectory at longer distances, but i always just shoot the pigs in the head. That way i either miss or kill, no wounding. Great shot by the way.

I choose the small ones over the large ones. Big ones require them to be sent to the proccessor. the little ones I split in half and cook on the pit, and are much better tasting.

check out these pics from the other night.

You still have the ZRX or you just venting hogs this time of year instead of riding? I've been seeing alot of roadkill out here in west Tx,they are moving looking for water and food. This drought makes riding bikes scary at night...a co-worker totaled his Goldwing about a month ago over a hog!

Sorry guys the zrx is gone. I just wasnt riding much anymore, specialy with wheelies becoming a ticket straight to jail. The law put a damper on my riding.
I just dont know how to cruise.
I center my attention on my drag bike nowdays. 2004 zx12r, slammed stretched and NOS. This feedes the need.
