I heard they give you warts, is that true?

I have made some knife handles out of wart hog teefers.. they make a nice handle, just too darn far to walk to hunt them.

Has anyone hunted these on any of the ranches in Texas? They seem to have every other African animal to shoot? Are they prohibited in the USA?
