Default Help a guy out!

So my New Year's resolution was not to buy any more guns - 'bout time, too! I'd like to put the $$$ toward more time in the field.

I've got 3 or 4 guys I know who are up for a hog hunt. Their parameters:

1) < 6 hours from greater Cincy area
2) Fancy accommodations not required
3) Will NOT have our own dogs.
4) Preferrably < $500 per person, including gas to get there & back.
5) Rifles & shotguns permitted

I've heard about Big South Fork, KY-TN, but the season WITHIN the area ends 2/29.I've also heard the odds of scoring are low. I've read about the counties in SE TN, but my understanding is that their seasons are coincident with Fall Deer Season ONLY.

I don't supposemy group isaverse to a ranch/preserve/plantation, but I don't like the idea of a fenced hunt. Are there any places with > 1,000 acres, no fences, & a decent # o' pigs?

Thanks,

FC

If it wasn't for the 6 hour requirement, I'd tell you to head south. Central Florida has an abundant amount pf piggies!

Good luck

Longer than 6 hours for you but great place to hog hunt-He does allow some gun hunting though mostly Archery. I would check out the web site. Shiloh Ranch, Stonewall, Oklahoma. Even after his fee & the longer distancewith 3-4 guys you should get in under the $500 cost your looking for. It's 14 hours for me & i don't mind it at all-always with it.
I will be going my 8th time in June. Been to several in Tx. & Oklahoma & Shiloh has been the best by far. Good Luck.

Central Florida has a ton of nice pigs. Most places I hunt are private and cost around 100 dollars a day. Some are even free with farmer friends that just want the damn hogs gone.
