I don't know much about guns, I can't find the place to put the arrows.

I can just about guarantee that the rifle can shoot farther than you can. What distances are you comfortable/experienced with?

Where I practice shooting, there's only a 100-yard rifle range, so I keep my shots within that approximate distance. My .30-06 is no doubt lethal at distances a lot further than that, but I like keeping my shots close.

7mm rum, 7mm wsm, 7mm saum, or 7mmm wssm?

most will be pushing a 150 grain about 3100 to 3200 fps. The Rum will edge the others just a little bit. The last rums I loaded were 160 grain and they cronied at the muzzle 3250 fps. In other words, it will shoot as far as you want it to, or are able to.

As for the 710, ive never shot one, but ive heard great things and bad things. The bad seemed to be when they first released the new model. Ive not heard much bad about them since.

it will kill a deer at 500 yards if you can hit it right, it's all up to you.I've heard that 7mm (.284) is the best flying bullet caliber. With the 3-9x scope that you have, I wouldn't feel very comfortable shooting much over 250 yards, but that is definately a good long range gun
