There was a post on Jesses hog forum with a map to Lake Wappapello and the hogs there. Try asking or searching there.

Check around Farmington to Popular bluff area. To my knowledge that is the heaviest population. We dont have any here where I live, to many of us rednecks running around.

The area around Wappapella Lake used to be a good place to hunt hogs. The conservation department hired some trappers and they did a great job of trapping and removing quite a few hogs. There are still some there but they are hard to find and you almost always need to use dogs. We went there in January and only found a little sign, but who knows, if the timeing is right you may get lucky.
If you call the agent in that area or the Army Corps they will send you info on sightings.
Good luck to you.

I went this weekend down in the area that'sbeen mentioned. Did alot of walking, probably 10 or more miles.. Seen a couple hogs running and some good sign but they are were always running and at a distance. Ya got to find them first, then hunt.. imo....

I did get an armadillo though. 30.06 on one of those things is not recommended.. lol
