New to this..but have a question

I shot my first boar a couple weeks back and had to notify the Michigan DNR, they asked me if I would participate in donating blood from the boar for tests? What will they be looking for and should I eat the meat before iI get results back?

I have never been asked by my State for blood samples from the Hogs I have killed.

Maybe the Michigan DNR is suspicious of some Swine disease which the Hunters are not aware of? If that's the case, then I would really investigate the reason they want a blood sample, before eating the meat!

oh it'll be fine eat it. they look for a couple deseases that sometimes show up in hogs, cook the meat good and eat away it won't hurt ya.
