Default Which .357 bullet for hogs?

It looks like I'm going to be able to do my Disney hog hunt! My girlfriend does pretty well with 158 grain JHP's out of my Taurus Tracker. Is this good enough for hogs, or should we look at a different load?

FWIW, she can bust 4" clay targets at 50 yards, so I'm guessing that'll be accurate enough.

Thanks!

Where did you decide to do your hog hunt at? Good luck and let me us know how you did.

I've been wondering that exact question. This is my first year hunting hogs and for a few weeks I was stuck hunting with my .357 until I got a shotgun. It was the first time I hunted with a handgun and I loved it. Didn't get anything, but I loved it.

Me too! Just be sure to sight in with them. In my Ruger they shoot about 6" low at 50'.
This is the only .357 factory load that should even be considered for hogs. The hard cast bullet gives very nice expansion while retaining all of its weight.

Good Hunting,
