Default Wisconsin hogs

Has anyone from WI seen a hog? The WI DNR website has a map listing where they have been sighted but I'm wondering just how many are out here.

keep hearing and eading about them. there is a write mark walters that has a column in the juneau star times newspaper. he has wrote and article or two about the nusiance issue of these hogs. claims the dnr predicts they'll over run the state in just 3 to 5 years.
seen that dnr map and counties that they are in as of 2005. i am in juneau county.....have not seenone yet. we border the county tree forest and there are hundreds of acres of corn and beans and potatoes all around. still nohogs.
if you hear of such could you update or email myself raw738@comcast.net

Here is the WI DNR map. http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/wildlife/Images/Publ/factsheets/pig/WisconsinFeralPigMap.pdf

It's amazing how every couple months a new county gets added to the list.

After living there for five years I've never heard of hogs in Wisconsin. I lived in Washington Cty, about 5-10 minutes north of West Bend. Good luck with them though, be sure to post about it if you find some.

I spoke with someone in Mad-city the other day and he told me over 200 were shot during the 9 day gun.all as a result of drives.(I dont have a problem with massive hog drives)near county trk s and hwy 131 in crawford co.The hogs are pretty much nocturnal but pushing them or trapping them would be the way to go.
I saw them doing a hog party in Mississippi last winter and it is awesome. The guy dumps 20 dogs.Pit mixed with Plot hound. And when they all grab a limb on a hog he rides in on a horse and sticks the pig.No motor veh.-No atv.The motor will get the pig fistey again. They got 14 pigs in one morning!

Five more years and you'll have the entire state reporting sizable pig populations. Can't get rid of them. Once you got 'em, you got 'em.

All I know is we sold a bunch of our attractant TUFF TUSK to the Wisconsin Cabela's and that really had me scratching my head. The Texas store I expect, but WISCONSIN. I hope the population grows for you.
