Default Hog bite infection?

I wrestled my hog today and got a 130-140 lber. but he tagged me in the calf. it wasnt a bad bite at all, not deep or anything. I scrubbed it with a wet rag squeesed blood out (there wasnt much blood) then rubbed it w a rag drenched in hydrogen peroxide. and put neosporne on it. What are the chances it would get infected. i dont think it will but i want to take the proper precautions. Any type of medicene you would suggest? we released this one but were going back out to wrestle all night. thanks. pics and video will be up soon.

If it didn't cut through the jeans at all I would not be that worried about it but if it does look like it is getting infected I would go to the doctor b/c that can get bad if it is infected.

usually infection is carried through the saliva...so it sounds like you'll be alright...keep an eye on it!

Better go and get that leg amputated just below the neck should do it

I almost lost a leg to a BIG pignearly 30 years ago but not through infection he bloody near tore it off.

What Ausie failed to tell ya, is once the hog got a taste of him, it took off trying to spit the taste out...

We carry a bottle of Listerine on board our boat when we're out gator hunting just in case you get knipped you can pour it on fast. The saliva of a gator will kill you in 3 days if he gets you good. You should be alright though, but I always carry a small bottle of Listerine in my first aid kits. I heard a couple outfiters are starting to carry Nitro pills in their First Aid kits for these old guys running after pigs and dogs and catching heart attacks!!

Don't know, I have never been bitten by a hog. Dead hogs can't bite!
