Default Rio's and Javelina's

My dad asked my brother and I if we would like to go on an Rio hunt this next spring and of course we both said YES! We have our Merriams and hopefully will get our easterns this spring. I was thinking it would sure be nice to try and get a Javelina when we were in Texas hunting turkeys. We don't have lot's of $$$ so that does play into it but dad was thinking we should be able to hunt both for around 700-1000 per hunter. Just me and my brother will be hunting as like I said that is alot of money for us so dad will only be taping us on this hunt.
We would like to do this hunt in Texas. Could some of you point us in the right direction of someone that offers both and that are also reliable people. Also, would a lever 30-30 be a good gun for the Javelina? Thanks for the help.

Javelin are easy to take down. Just about any caliber will do the trick. Texas has lots of Javelin and Rio grand turkey. Just make sure where ever you choose to hunt there isaJavelin season there. Javelin are indigenous to Texas, which makes them a game animal. Not all counties in Texas have a Javelin season. They are not like hogs. Hogs are exotics where as pickery are native. Just make sure youcan shot them where every you choose to hunt. I have lots of them on my land, but cant hunt them. We do not have a pickery season.[/align]

Thanks for the info guys! After looking around it seems turkey and hog hunts are more the norm then turkey and Javelina. I would say the Rio is the most important to me and my brother so hogs instead of Javelina doesn't matter. Hogs would still be fun to harvest. Any suggestions on a good outfit in the Texas panhandle. We live in Nebraska and southern Texas is a very, very long drive. We have been to Corpis Christy (sp) once and it was a horrible drive (Dad hates to fly). Thanks for the help!
