Default Kerr WMA in Texas

Just got my non-selection card from the Texas P&W on the exotic draw hunt (archery)at Kerr WMA. Did anyone get drawn on this? I think this is the first time they have offered this category.

Default RE: Kerr WMA in Texas

Hey,
Back about 15 years ago I put in for a hunt at Enchanted Rock.
Then theycalled the hunt off.,but gave everyone a hunt at Kerr WMA with Muzzlerloaders only in its place.
Man I jumped on the hunt in a heart beat. But the deer had been shot at and ran a round by the other hunters .This was the last hunt of the season there.Didn't see but one deer 400 yds away.
Had a great time but no deer. Not many places to camp at back then.So I just parked off the road on FM 39I thinkat a roadside park by a waterfall. Not sure of the FM roadnumber. And slept in the back of my pick-up in my camper top.
Sure was cool to hear the water fall as I fell to sleep, not much cars up and down thehill county Farm to Market road.
Brings back some good times.
