Default marlin model 60

I just picked up an old marlin model 60 in great shape. I have one concern though the magazine tube spring is very weak. I would like any info on taking the tube apart to stretch the spring a bit. there is a pin in the front of the tube that holds the knob on and it acts as a stop to lock it in place and i'm wondering if anyone has taken one apart before.

That link should be exactly what he needs to know to get the job done. As was stated, don't let the spring fly out of the tube when you take the end cap off. would also caution to have eye protection on whenever you are working on a spring for obvious reasons!

Default thanks.

I appreciate the links, I got a sweet deal on this thing ($50) and wow was it dirty I spent a week on it off and on cleaning and touching her up. WOW what a shooter! Although the spring in my opinion is weak it seemed ok for now. Maybe after I locate a new one I will take this one apart and follow up with you guys. Thanks again Doug.
