Just joking. Its not really the caliber that cost, but the gun. Run anywhere between 350 dollars to 2K and beyond for a custom.

Where I live the 7MMWSM is about a dead duck. The 300 and 270 WSM are going great however. Maybe its different else where.

no problem when you got a wife like mine right??? She'd bankroll me if I wanted it!!!!

to answer your question, just go online to www.gunbroker.com, type in the make, model and caliber you want and subtract about $25-30 off the price and thats what the local shops can get it for. A suggestion for you next time you post. Be more detailed when asking for pricing, tell us what make, model etc. you want.

As previously mentioned it"™s not the caliber but the rifle. The quality and make of rifle makes the price , not the bullet. If it"™s not for surprise birthday or something like that you should get your son to go out and handle some rifles to see what fits him and is comfortable. You could then decide on how much you would like to spend. Good Luck.....

Since I was at my gun shop last week, I asked about a 300 WSM(same price for the 300, 7mm & 270 WSM) in a Browning A-bolt Hunter and a Micro Hunter....$619 for the Hunter and $599 for the Micro Hunter.
