Default simple question

Why hasent anyone ever worked with a .220 swift to improve it .O r attept to improve it

Well, they have worked on them. They came up with the 220 Wotkyns-Wilson Arrow, and the 220 Weatherby Rocket. Both are wildcat cartridges based on the swift. I am sure their are probably others also.

The Swift is hard enough on barrels the way it is without trying to get more velocity out of it.

If I remember correctly the 220 Swift actually started out as a wildcat based on the 6mm Lee Navy necked down.

I've never seen or heard of any ballistics data for the Lee cartridge but I would think it would be similar to a lightly loaded 243.
