Default new S&W... a couple of questions

I just bought a new S&W sigma series 9mm. THe model number is SW9VE. I wanted to get my wife into shooting and i havent shot pistol much. I do have a couple of questions.

Do any of you have this gun or a similar one. If so what load are you shooting

The S&W MSRP is 379.99. I bought it new at cabelas for 299.99. Anyone know of any possible reasons for this. I know cabelas isnt known for thier great prices.

Also, what kind of accuracy are you getting out of it. My first time on the range was less than impressive by my riffle standarts. My range was from 5-20 yrds. Seemed inconsistant. I am not blaming the gun, just curious abbout what everyone else was getting.

Thanks for the help, i really enjoy the pistol thing and am eager to learn quickly

Default RE: new S&W... a couple of questions

I have a Sigma in 40 S&W.
I shoot 180 gr Win Q load ( white box) and reloads.
I don't remember excactly what I payed but it was about that . MSRP is a joke !!
With my 40 I shoot 3-4" groups at 25 yds .
Not great but about the same as the Glock Model 22 40 S&W I had before.

Not the same as your 9mm but close.
