Default S&W 22A

just a FYI, thought I'd let you guys know if you are looking at a S&W 22A pistol they're junk. Has anyone else had problems with theirs? I bought mine new about 6 weeks ago and it's nothing but junk. barrel losened up, now it won't fire more than 2 bullets before stove piping. I sent it back monday, this is the 2nd time I'm sending it back to S&W for this problem. I've never had 1 good trouble free session with this gun. Extraction is the problem. shells get jammed between the slide and barrel. I wish I never bought this peice of crap. I hope S&W can finally fix it though, nice looking gun. But I'd be better off throwing the bullets at the target.

I really don't know if what the difference is, but the 22S is no better!!! My dad bought one a couple years ago and it was THE sorriest gun I've ever seen come out of the Smith camp. Like vangunsmith said, make 'em make it right.

Other than keep on sending it back, not sure how I can make them make it right. Should they replace it or what? if so with what? another 22A? or some other gun? Never been in a situation like this. Honestly, this gun is so unreliable, if someone broke in my house I wouldn't even pull it out. I'd go for the Bat, at least that won't jam and make me look stupid. And i'm tired of spening $12 everytime to see if the gun works. Gotta drive down to the range, usually i find out within the first 2 mins if the gun is working or not, then drive back home. So I drove 1hr and spent $12 just to see if the thing is fixed. Routine is getting old. I don't think I'll ever buy a S&W again. And yesterday they sent me info on buying another gun from them.... lol. right. I might get bit once, but not twice.

I'd, personally, keep sending it back until they fix it. I've been wrong before, but maybe once they realize you're not going to give up, they may just make it right to get you off their back. The main thing is not to give up, thats exactly what they want you to do. Good luck in whatever you decide.

exactly. they think after 2x's I'll give up probly. well I'll send it in 999 times if need be. They should replace the gun or refund my money and give me a letter of "oh we're sorry we sold you a gun that doesn't shoot bullets". that gun is junk. Ticks me off how companies think they can get away with making that kind of crap. They lost ALL of my business for the rest of my life and anyone I can talk out of a S&W. See, this is a prime example of what happens when you let bean counters run companies. I bought a gun and it doesn't work at all. they don't seem to want to make it right.... so that means within the next year They'll lose my business for a .40 pistol, and any other business I'd give them later on in life. but i'm sure they're making their making profit from the 22A, but in the end they'll lose more. Take a lesson from Toyota.... build good stuff even your cheapie stuff... and you'll keep selling more of everything.
