Default New England Firearms .308 Survivour

I Just bought me a NEF .308 survivour. i was gettin ammo for my 300WSMwhen i saw it was on clerance at WALMART for 130.00 i was like what the heck 130 no biggy. this gun shoots like my remington i love it. No recoil, nice pistol style grip, and built on sight rail. I tossed a Bushnell on it just to shoot it a little. NICE gun and regular price is only $200. Only draw back for most People i talk to at teh store was its a single shot, to which i say if you cant drop it in one you dont need to HUNT it !! -Lynn

Way to go. You may now become a Handi-Holic. These little guns are addictive. I have a small herd of them. The best thing about them is that for about 80.00 you can send them in for additional barrels. I send my 45-70 in a coup;e weeks ago for a 357 Magnum barrel. When it gets back I am sending my 280 in for a 30-30 barrel. I have a 7mm-08 and a 44 Mag,223,22-250 , 243 stainless and a 32 inch barreled 45-70 Buffalo Classic.

Yes they do. You can check it out on their webb site. It explains the barrel program and gives the customer service number to call to see what all barrels your reciever will accept. Go to this site. hr1871.com.

if you start out with a rifle you can order shotgun barrels for it. if you start out with a shoutgun you can not buy a rifle barrel for it. SHoNUFF take the scope off and make sure the base is super tight. you can get better groups with it. also take and put a o-ring on the screw post that holds the fore end. this will free float the barrel. ive got a handi rifle in .243 and love it. hope this helps.

Definately good guns. I've got the HR ultra in 243. Exceptionally accurate usually right on 1MOA with the occasional group being under. Single shot never really bothered me. I can reload fairly quick and I seldom get 2nd chances for a shot.

I just pick up a handi -in 30-06 out of bass pro they had 5 in the boxes took the best one $170.00 plus tax, after the wheeling and dealing.I think for the money you can't go wrong.I see also they are having a special on additional barrel $5.00 bucks off and no charge for the fitting.
I really don't hunt with centerfire any more mainley blackpowder but was interested in a light gun for the woods and the Handi,is the way to fly for a all day staking and hunting gun.
