Default I got accepted to Co. School of Trades Gunsmithing program!

Found out yesterday that I'd been accepted to the Colorado School of Trades gunsmithing program. I start Oct. 10th. Man, working with guns for a living...doesn't get any better than that and I can't wait! Elk country, here I come!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I will have to stay in contact with you, I am a machinist now, and I have always thought about "How much ahead of the game would I be since I already know milling and lathing"? I would love to have something like that to fall back on when Im ready to retire. Congrats, and best of luck!!!!

words of wisdom........remember you can always take a little more off you cant put more back on!!! milling/lathing rule #1

Ain't that the God's honest truth, with a lot more than machining too!

Learning the machinist aspect of gunsmithing is one of the things I'm most excited about, too...and not just for firearms applications. Of course, I *COULD* get myself into trouble with a CNC mill and too much time on my hands. I have a cousin that is a machinist who, well...I probably shouldn't say anything! I'm thinking I have a hand-cranked gatling gun made out of 10/22 barreled actions in my future. And from what I understand, as long as each "gun" is still an unmodified semi-auto, it's 100% legal (like those bump firing thingies for SKS's and AK's). And if is is illegal, well, this is all just completely hypothetical, of course! [8D]

Congradulations man thats awesome I hope I can do that too because I'm still in school and I love guns and hunting more than anything else in the world and in my town I'm younger than all the older guys and I already know as much if not more than them anyways congradulations man and I hope I am able to be a gunsmith when I grow up and if not that a professional hunter or a hunting guide.
