Default Question about boss from a rookie.

I have a browning bar with boss in 270. I printed the boss settings off the net and they only mention 3 different grains and 2 brands. Federal 130 and 150 and remington in 140. I will set my gun to the 130 grain setting. So my question is: Can I use any brand bullet in a 130 grain and go by these settings. I know the rifle will shoot diff with diff grain but does brand matter. I have some federal 130's on order but I won't get them till monday so can I buy winchester 130's for the time being?
Thanks a lot.[]

Default RE: Question about boss from a rookie.

The settings published in the manual are not "set in stone" for a given bullet weight or load. They do provide a good starting point, but it's up to you to tinker with the BOSS in small increments up and down until the best group is observed with the actual load you decide to shoot.
