Scope Rings Height?

I want to put Leupold quick release bases & rings on my new Rem 700 Mtn LSS. The scope will be 40MM.

Should I get the "Medium" height rings, or will the "Low" height fit w/40MM scope?

If its a leupold scope it should go with no problems ..low rings that is

I have 3 700's with leupold bases and rings and 40 mm objective Leupolds on them... 2 are setup with QR bases and rings... i have all medium rings and end up with roughly a wee bit less than an 1/8 inch clearance or so between objective and barrel...
