Default RUGER 77 MANNLICHER PROBLEM

GUYS,
I HAVE A LITTLE RUGER 77 MANNLICHER IN 270 WCF. I HAVE A PERPLEXING PROBLEM WITH THIS RIFLE. THE FIRST SHOT TAKEN IS 5 INCHES WIDE LEFT AND DOWN 2 INCHES AT 100YDS. THE NEXT 4 SHOTS ARE TOUCHING OR CLOSE TO TOUCHING WHERE THE ORIGINAL AIMPOINT WAS. I ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO RUN A PATCH THROUGH PRIOR TO FIRING TO ENSURE NO RESIDUE /OIL FROM THE LAST CLEANING. I HAVE HAD OTHER SHOOTERS TRY THE RIFLE THINKING IT WAS JUST ME, BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENS. I HAVE ALSO TRIED NOT RUNNING A PATCH THROUGH PRIOR TO FIRING BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENS. ANY IDEAS?

Is the rifle New or Used?
Does it do it with DIFFERENT ammo?
Are you using A SCOPE?
What ammo are you using and how many grains.
At what yardage are you shooting?

Ok, if I understand this correctly you have 4 shots going where they're supposed to, but
the 1st shot always goes wide left, and low.
Question: If you allow the barrel to cool (completely - give it a half hour), what happens when you go to shooting your next five shot group? Same thing, or do all five then go where you're aiming?

I'd look into a bedding problem. Many full stocked rifled have problems in the bedding - it reads like when it gets warm it shoots "correct" indicating it might need a shim someplace in the barrel/action to wood fit.

VIRGINIA7,
I'VE NEVER TRIED LETTING IT COOL COMPLETELY AFTER FIRING. IF I HAD TO GUESS, IT WOULD DO THE SAME THING. THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE.
REBEL HOG,
THE RANGE IS 100 YDS
IT IS SCOPED
THE CATRIDGE DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER
AND IT IS A NEW RIFLE. BOUGHT A YEAR AGO, BUT NEW TO ME.
AMMO CHANGES DON'T HAVE ANY EFFECT BUT THE LAST I SHOT WERE 130GR WINCHESTER SILVERTIPS

Its a bedding problem and a minute one at that to throw the 1st shot off that far. I would call Ruger customer service and have them look at it. There may not be enough clearance in the foreend tip. That barrel is also pencil thin and it may only take one shot to change the way it is sitting in the barrel channel. Those types of guns in almost all cases have some sort of shooting quirk. I would make sure the stock screws are tightened in the proper sequence. I had a 308 RSI that always sent the first shot off as well but not as bad as what your experiencing. I looked at everything and could never really figure out why it was doing that. Probably should have sent it back to ruger for a go over.

OLD ELK,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I WILL SEND IT BACK TO RUGER. I'VE NEVER OWNED A MANNLICHER BEFORE AND NOT EXPERIENCED ON THE UNIQUE PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THANK YOU AGAIN AND GOOD SHOOTING!
