Western field 712

A buddy of mine was left a westernfield 712 it is a 30/30 bolt action. Does anybody have any info on this piece? I know Montgomery ward sold them and alot of companys built for them. The only bolt 30/30 that I can think of is a savage 340 .. Thanks Bill

Westernfield Mod 710 is a Savage 110, so Mod 712 must be Savage.

I know nothing about your gun but.
Remington made a 788 in 3030 ,my dad has one.

I know the 710 is a savage but the 112 savage never came in 30/30 it was varmint gun .. I have a 788 in 7/08 never knew they came in 30/30 .. Thanks Bill
