Default S&W 3913???

I went up to Gander Moutain tonight and was looking at a Smith and wesson 3913 9mm.I liked how compact it was and just the look of it.Does anyone have any expierance with this model?????

Well, no, not this specific model. I've owned various S&W pistols over the years including model 39, 59, 469, 6906, and have shot a bunch of others when I served as
an LEO (and firearms instructor). Can't say as I have had any problems with any of
'em except the early model 39, but that one was back in the mid 70's.
Before I got my Sig239 one of the guns I checked out was the S&W 3913. Seemed like
a good little gun to me. As I recall, price was about $550. I got my Sig for $510.
I think the Sig is a better gun, but to each his own.

FTF, and occasional FTE. As I noted though, this was one of the earlier guns, back in the
mid 1970's when I acquired it. Problem occured with some brands of hollow point ammo. Ball ammo functioned fine. Probably just needed some polishing of the throat/feed ramp area, but I got laid off from a job and sold it before I ever got around to fixing it. This was before my LEO days.
