Hoppes Tornado Brush

Anybody use these. A buddy bought some and I warned him to never use a steel brush. But Hoppes says its harmless to bore. I don't buy it. Better be safe than sorry. I am not crazy about using bronze brushes.

I feel the same way you do about them. I would use them if I had a old rifle that had a rusty, pitted, heavily fouled bore where I had nothing to lose, but wouldn't allow it near any rifle with a decent bore.

May not have bristles but it is still steel against steel

not on a rifle, but they sure do rip the plastic out of a shotgun bore...
