Default 6mm remington

does anyone still make a gun in this caliber? im thinking remington used to make a high end 700 varmint rifle, but my dealer says he is unable to find one. anything else made for this round? ive always wanted a 6mm, just to be a bit different. i know balistically its similar to the 243, but everyone has one of those!

remington makes one in I believe there VLS and ruger makes one in their light weight model 77 other then that i dont know of anyone else making one kinda stinks because i was really wanting a 6mm but i dont care for rugers and that remington is just too expensive for my blood. I was told to keep an eye out for used guns in that caliber and thats about the only other way to get a 6mm

yea the 243 killed the 6mm market because factory loaded 6mm is more expensive then 243, but being a reloader the 6mm is a much more versatile cartridge especially with a 6mm you can push a 55 grain bullet well over 4000 fps and the 243 just barely pushes a 55 grain bullet over the 4000 fps mark.

Yote, Remington still makes the 6mm in the VLS model. Varmint-Laminated Stock. This is the heavy barrel model with no sights. I purchased my 6mm in 76 and it is one of my favorites. Exceptional long range caliber.
