Ballard rifling in Marling leverguns.
I was hoping to get some advice about the ballard rifling that marlin is using now.
I have a new 1895CB in 45-70 and posted a thread under Marlin 1895CB and didn't get much response.
I've never seen rifling that was so rough between the lands before and am wondering if this is normal.

RE: Ballard rifling in Marling leverguns.
Just got a bargain on a estate sale for a 30-30 336C. It was new in the box but yea, its rough as a cob too. I thought it was pits and rust at first. Can be a littel crosoat that needs to be cleaned out. Should get better with age.
